Focus on Pain Management in a clinic setting and surgical setting

• Assist with Interventional Pain Management procedures. These procedures include: Epidural steroid injections, sacroiliac joint steroid injections, Intrasept procedure assist, Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression (MILD) assist, Radiofrequent ablations (genicular, cervical, thoracic and lumbar), hip and trochanter bursa injections, intrathecal medication pump, lateral femoral cutaneous nerve blocks, genitofemoral blocks, Ilioinguinal nerve blocks, spinal cord stimulator implants, dorsal column stimulator implants, piriformis blocks, and ultrasound guided injections
• Independently perform in office: shoulder steroid injections, knee steroid injections, occipital nerve blocks, Botox injections for migraines, management of intrathecal pain pump medication delivery, and peripheral IV starts
• Manage patients with chronic and acute pain, back pain, fibromyalgia, complex regional pain syndrome. migraines, depression, addiction, substance abuse disorder, and cancer pain
• Conduct and dictate history and physicals and progress notes
• Formulate differential diagnosis based on patient history, physical examination and clinical findings
• Removing staples and sutures from incisions
• Identify and prescribe pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions for pain
• Evaluate and initiate medications including controlled substances according to Nebraska statues
• Make appropriate referrals to other health care professionals and agencies
