Supervise a team of about 35 security guards for the Omaha Public Power District. Stop by each OPPD site to ensure guards are doing work properly and occasionally help train them on differing things pertaining to the job. At times, deliver write-ups and incorporate disciplinary measures if needed. I was also tasked with checking substations both locally and out of town for any security breaches, damage or thefts. I had to keep CPR, fire safety, ammonia gas safety, chemical safety, AED and self defense certifications while employed. I had to write and generate reports as incidents occurred and front them to my direct supervisor as well as staff of OPPD.

I worked at Central High School for my entire duration at Omaha Public Schools. It was my job to do the following:

- Ensure the safety of all students and staff.

- Ensure the safety of the building and all property within.

- Come up with security patrol routes for the security team.

- Work longer hours than other guards tp Ensure safety for all students and staff staying after school for detention and extracurricular activities.

- Ensure safety of all including guests during any sporting events, musical events and any other gathering.

- Maintain a CPR, AED, First Aid, Self defense, fire safety, chemical safety and other certifications.

- I was a part of the emergency response team and was certified to assist others in the use of Epi Pens, Asthma medication among other medical things.

- With the administrative staff, conduct fire drills and lock down drills.

- Respond to any and all disturbances from intruders, including ban and bar, breaking up fights involving people not allowed in the building or people from the general public, including family members of students.

- Respond to any and all disturbances in classrooms and hallways involving students and staff, de-escalating whenever possible.

- Respond to all fights involving students and staff, even in the midst of full riots within the building... using only the amount of force necessary to neutralize the violence.

- Confiscate all weapons, drugs, or any other contraband from students.

- Keep close contact with the building SRO and Omaha Police involving criminals and gang activity within the school as well as students who had abusive homes, suicidal tendancies, mental illness, behavioral disorders, physical health problems, special needs, and any students who were put on runaway status.

- Ensure any parents/step parents that could not have any contact with a student was barred from doing so... and at times physically stop them from making contact with said students.

- Use a CCTV camera system and alarm system for doors, occasionally making recorded video clips for Omaha Police and furnishings them for court appearances.

- At times testify in court about issues at the school.

- Occasionally transport student to and from the TAC building for independent study programs.

- Maintain good relationships with all students and staff and ensure they could trust us in keeping them safe.

- I helped with an after school club for the special needs students with the other staff dedicated to those students.
