Accomplishments

I am proud to claim that I had a key role in helping Bayard Elementary School to become an accredited Lighthouse School through the Leader in Me program. This program focuses on social/emotional skills and becoming goal oriented learners, so that students may be able to perform tasks with confidence to become academically successful. It is similar to student council, but more detailed in the goals that are focused on being set. Being a co-sponsor for the student lighthouse team, I was able to help lead the team to success by being dedicated to the goal. I aim to be a positive role model by modeling positive leadership. We were able to raise money for school equipment, help fund AR parties and other events, participate in food drives, boost state testing motivation, and most importantly grow as students and people in general.

I recently was given a new Reading curriculum and had success with boosting NSCAS and NWEA scores for ELA for nearly all of my students. I enjoy teaching so I put a lot of my time, energy and effort into helping my students to be successful. After all, their success is my success.
