Brittany Payne

I have been a preschool teacher since 2015 and I could not imagine doing anything else. My passion is early childhood education. It is so important to create those initial stepping stones in a young child's developing mind and I am lucky enough to be that stepping stone as a child enters their educational career. I am a big proponent in children learning through play based off of what we know about the development of children and how their mind best learns. In my lessons I provide hands on learning and I accommodate to all types of learning styles so I can reach each student the best way I can. I believe though, that the first thing I need to do as the teacher is to create a special relationship with each and every student so I can create that trust and love in each individual.

I have been teaching at a title 1 school for the last 5 years and I have taught a wide variety of differently abled children throughout my career so far. I have been trained the last 5 years in Pyramid teaching strategy, which has given me tools and strategies to promote and support positive behavior, prevent challenging behavior, and address the social needs of all young children.
