- To ensure accuracy during functional and regression testing, I was responsible for the creation and maintenance of realistic test data to include valid and invalid inputs. To facilitate user interface and user experience testing, this data was then used to populate system-level work products prior to deployment and delivery. This significantly reduced the risk of an application failure when actual data was applied to the system.
- Provided augmentation and surge support to the Information Assurance (IA) test team; tests were performed using static and dynamic source code analysis tools for simulating attacks such as SQL injection, buffer overflow, race conditions, and denial of service. This resulted in increased level of end-user confidence and ensured compliance with the Department of Defense’s (DoD) security requirements.
- Acted in a technical documentation capacity to create, update, and maintain both the User’s Manual and the online context sensitive help for the application. Because of changing requirements and modifications in the user interface, challenges were to keep both sets of documentation and content current with the latest production version of the application.
- Was named as a key contributor to the program’s perfect 5.0 Contractor Performance Assessment Rating (CPAR) score from the Department of Defense, and in the event of schedule conflicts or vacations, acted in a Software Test Lead capacity and provided training and mentorship to newly assigned and transitioning members of the software test team.

- As the sole tester for this program, was responsible for managing all software requirement specifications, software test documentation, test management, formal testing, defect identification, and defect resolution for three major applications within the USSTRATCOM Data Management Services section. Formal testing consisted of writing SQL scripts and analyzing results in order to independently compare and verify application output, in addition to functionally testing the user interfaces. The deployment schedules for these three applications were within 2 weeks of one another, and involved frequent overlap during formal test cycles. Despite these challenges, the applications for these programs had the lowest defect density rating for applications within USSTRATCOM, and were a factor in the primary contractor’s 98% award fee.
