My job duties consist of installing fire alarm monitoring systems in a variety of locations, performing fire alarm inspections to ensure proper functioning and code compliance, testing newly installed fire alarms, and troubleshooting and repairing these systems as needed.
I work mainly with Edwards and Fire Lite products. I perform other duties such as wiring and overseeing projects to completion. I conduct field testing, smoke and heat detector installation. I operate the electronic components of panel operations, monitoring of fire pumps and sprinklers.
Along with these duties, I also assist with installation of gas piping and wiring for Helion Gas system, as well as install vesda air sampling systems in medical locations.
I oversaw day to day operations of Union Pacific headquarters. I monitored the building's operating system's lighting, chillers, HVAC, plumbing and fire systems in order to maintain the standards of this class A facility.
I assisted with load transfers on the electrical system, generator loading run tests, and repairing CRAH units to maintain ambient temperatures and humidity levels in the data center.
I also repaired various lighting, plumbing, and heating and air equipment.
