Summary

I'm a multi-instrumental music teacher and performer. With over four years of experience in private teaching in the Emily Mefort Piano Studio, I excelled in developing student relationships and promoting student engagement at their developmental level. I empower students with constructive feedback that uplifts them with support. My goal is to help students grow in music so they can have meaningful musical experiences for life.

Philosophy

Music stands as a common Human Experience. It should be a core discipline for all students to develop strong Communicative, Emotional, and Creating abilities.

1. Music synthesizes learning through culture, narrative, and embodied or praxial experience. By it, students gain the ability to synthesize intent or experience of others and communicate their own.

2. Music fosters an appreciation for beauty and creativity through aesthetic value; it acts as a vessel for an emotional experience. Through study its expressive properties are learned and appreciated by its performance.

3. Music encourages self actualization of an individual through creating, practicing, & performing. The act of doing music develops kinesthetic and creative knowledge.
