Started off doing general maintenance on multiple different kinds of vehicles. Went through on-site Freightliner/Western Star chassis training. Have been working in the express assessment area for about 3 years. This section of the shop is dedicated to diagnostics and smaller repairs. Regularly diagnose various complaints on various kinds of vehicles ranging from a check engine light on a new Freightliner Cascadia to checking brakes and suspension on a smaller gasoline engine vehicle. Have acquired my own hand tools as well as multiple specialty and battery powered tools.
Would take mobile service calls to customer locations, sometimes after hours. Mobile calls consisted of changing/repairing tires on cars/semis/farm equipment. Would also work in the shop working under and assisting the shop mechanic. Those duties consisted of general maintenance on everything from cars to large trucks. I would also assist the lead mechanic with larger jobs such as engine replacements and diagnostics on various vehicles.
