Hi, I’m Layla! I’m a dedicated and hardworking junior in high school with strong leadership, writing, and organizational skills. I’m currently a writer and editor for my school’s newspaper, The Tom Tom, which has helped me become comfortable with meeting new people, asking thoughtful questions, and getting to know my community. I’m a quick learner and very adaptable, and I’m confident I’ll pick up new tasks quickly and do them well. I’m also the daughter of two U.S. Navy veterans, so I’m authorized to work on base. As I start my first job, I’m excited to gain real-world experience, build professional relationships, and grow more confident in new environments. I’m eager to learn how to be part of a team, communicate with customers, and take on responsibilities that will help me grow personally and professionally. My long-term goal is to become a licensed cosmetologist and esthetician, and eventually open my own salon. I believe that starting in customer service will give me a strong foundation in people skills, time management, and professionalism—everything I’ll need to succeed in the beauty industry.
