Clinical Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive evaluation and treatment services for pediatric patients (birth–21) presenting with ASD, receptive-expressive language delays, fluency disorders, articulation/phonological impairments, literacy-based language disorders, and pragmatic language deficits.
• Lead AAC evaluations, conducting multi-device trials and collaborating with PRC-Saltillo and Tobii Dynavox to secure medically funded speech-generating devices; proficient in programming and implementing LAMP Words for Life, TouchChat, and TD Snap.
• Integrate play-based, child-led interventions grounded in the DIRFloortime model to support developmental engagement, functional communication, and carryover across settings.
• Collaborate closely with occupational and physical therapists to develop coordinated treatment plans that address motor-speech integration, sensory regulation, feeding challenges, and functional communication within a multidisciplinary care model.
• Partner with families and care teams to ensure generalization of communication strategies across home, clinic, and educational settings; provide training and coaching to support carryover.
• Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation in compliance with medical and insurance standards, including evaluation reports, treatment plans, and progress summaries.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Serve as Director of Student Mentorship, overseeing graduate-level externships and undergraduate observation experiences; responsible for clinical instruction, performance evaluation, and caseload supervision.
• Develop and implement structured training pathways from observation through independent patient care, promoting clinical competence and professional growth.
• Provide real-time feedback and clinical modeling to support evidence-based assessment and intervention practices in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
