• This position is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding structural steel and miscellaneous metal components according to shop drawings and specifications
• The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works safely, and can operate independently or as part of a team
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and weld symbols
• Fabricate structural steel and miscellaneous metal assemblies
• Perform welding using processes such as MIG (GMAW), Stick (SMAW), and Flux-Core (FCAW)
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble steel components accurately
• Operate shop equipment including saws, grinders, torches, and forklifts
• Perform quality inspections of completed welds and assemblies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Work with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules

• Maintain, assemble, fabricate, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systems
• Cut, bend, thread, and fabricate piping
• Fabricate and install pipe hangers
• Distinguish between different types of piping, fittings, and couplings
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and other related equipment by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints
• Prepare connections and install piping, mechanical fittings, supports, hangers, anchor bolts, couplings, valves, pumps, and other associated equipment
• Remove and replace worn components
• Utilize required tooling (i.e., saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, benders, and matching equipment.)
• Read and understand drawings, design specifications, procedures, and codes
• Physical

•Assemble, tack, and weld steel parts to create finished sub-assemblies, following blueprints.
• Prepare weld surfaces, adjust settings, and use the right techniques based on the job.
• Ensure weld are visually appealing, and that they meet all quality standards.
• Safely use and maintain welding equipment, and follow safety rules for cranes, forklifts and other machinery.
