Work History

Staking Engineer

Cornhusker Public Power District
06.2004 - Current

My first 10 years at CPPD were on the line crew. Most of my task, at that time, were as follows. Building, upgrading, and maintaining overhead and underground lines. I would also help with restoring power during outages and trouble shooting. The last 10 years of my career have been as a staking engineer. This position has me doing multiple task and duties including taking calls / request from customers and crew members daily. Meeting with the customers and crew members to build new services, rebuild existing services, engineer new line, upgrade existing line, trouble shooting, and many other daily task. We would also obtain easements, call in diggers hotline tickets, and keep records of all existing and new builds / jobs. These different tasks had me working in the office and in the field. All of these tasks were performed while keeping the safety of the customers, the general public, and our employees in mind.
