There were three main jobs we did as a retail associate. To start off, we worked in fitting rooms. We were in charge in counting items in and out and helping customers find items that they liked. Another position was cashiering. As a cashier, we were in charge of scanning and bagging items, counting change, and using and activating gift cards. In addition, we were also in charge of returning items, activating merchandise credits, handling checks, and most importantly, informing about the tjx rewards credit card. Lastly, we worked as a floor associate. As a floor associate, we helped customers navigate the store and find what they were looking for. We were expected to put out product from the backroom in a neat and efficient way in the correct areas. Throughout your shift, you would be asked to run fitting room rails, return bins, return rails, and check the price on an item from the registers. You were expected to this efficiently and correctly. As a floor associate, you were also a backup cashier. Your last responsibility as a floor associate was to clean your given area by the time we closed.
While ushering, I was involved in providing help to people in finding their seats for the game and informing them of the team shop where they can buy explorers merchandise. As a ticket taker, I would scan and count tickets, as well as inform on which side of the stadium people should enter to be able to efficiently get to their seats.
