My job responsibilities include all of my previous infusion nurse responsibilities and skills. I also work every Thursday morning in Radiation Oncology and fill in in the Hem/Onc clinic when needed. I've even floated to the Breast Health clinic at Lakeside and really enjoyed that experience.

• Same position as previous but I was employed PRN and rarely worked in Dr Silberstein's office

• This was an infusion/chemo nurse position in a specialty clinic of a critical access hospital
• I was the only nurse assigned to this area except for the day we give chemo, we then had one other nurse assigned to this area

• Infusions including but not limited to; chemotherapy, biotherpay and immunotherapy, IV fluids, antibiotics and blood products

• Started at Dr Silberstein's office at Creighton University
• The hospital closed in June 2017 and we moved to Bergan Mercy, a very busy oncology clinic and infusion center
• I rotated regularly between the two areas
• Clinic Responsibilities Included:
• Rooming patients to include vitals, assessments and medication reconciliation
• Drew and monitored lab work
• Released chemotherapy and therapy orders according to lab results
• Assisted doctor
• Took and returned patient calls
• Ordered labs and tests
• Obtained insurance prior authorizations
• Backed up for case manager
• Infusion Center Responsibilities:
• Checked patients into area with vitals sign, assessment and labs when ordered
• Released medications from treatment and therapy plans
• Communicated with clinics
• Administered many different therapies, chemo, immunotherapy, IV fluids, antibiotics, bisphosphonates, different injections
• Patient education a major part of both areas
